Welcome to NeurocenterLV.com, the official website of Dr. Shanker Dixit, MD and his office- Neurology Center of Las Vegas. Dr. Dixit is Board Certified in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology. He has also received specialized training in Epilepsy, Stroke and Cerebrovascular diseases. He is a respected member of the American Academy of Neurology, and American Epilepsy Society. Having trained at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, he went on to become Staff Neurologist at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas and at the Veterans Administration before returning to Wisconsin for a stint at the prestigious Gundersen Clinic at La Crosse, WI. He has now returned to practice here in the community of Las Vegas which he loves.
           
During his years as a fellow and Staff, he has trained medical students and residents and has done original research in various neurological disease states. He has published his original research in various national and international journals. He is a nationally recognized speaker for Epilepsy, Headache and Stroke.
